Lake Springs Church has a long and short history. It’s complicated.
In 1822 Holly Springs Baptist Church was established in downtown Holly Springs, NC. That church held true to its name and roots for nearly 200 years. In 2019 after much deliberation the dwindling congregation that remained thought it in the best interest of the church and Kingdom to merge with a younger fast-growing church. The name of that church was Point Church of the Triangle.
Point Church was deemed as one of the fastest growing churches in America by outreach magazine in 2017 and 2018. Point church was made up of 15 campus locations all across the triangle region of NC. However, in January of 2022, the leadership at Point Church announced that God had laid a new vision on their hearts. Their new vision was to release the majority of their campuses to be independent autonomous churches.
This brings us to today; where now some 200 people or so call Lake Springs Church their home. As we said, we have a short and long history.
Lake Springs would not be here today without the sacrifice of commitment and sacrifice of both Holly Springs Baptist Church and Point Church. We are forever grateful that we have had a chance to work with both of these churches.
As you look below, you will see the things that make Lake Springs the church that it is. We like to define ourselves by way of our three core values of formation, hospitality, and family.
We believe God has called us to be formed more deeply into the image of Jesus by living and practicing the things Jesus did while on earth. We call these “The Practices of Jesus”.
We take seriously the idea of hospitality. Hospitality is known in the Bible as “love for the stranger”. We want everyone to feel loved, and welcomed here.
Family matters to us. God has blessed us with a large number of great young families. We believe it’s part of our mission to empower and equip these families for the spiritual journey of life together.

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did.
The following items are stances and beliefs of Lake Springs Church. We have adopted the Apostles Creed as our official statement of faith.
Which reads as follows:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
God wrote a book
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

Three in One
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

Somewhere forever
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

God’s image bearers
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

God’s only way
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, so it cannot be earned through our own efforts. We believe the New Testament teaches that the pattern for following and receiving Jesus as Savior is to believe in Jesus as God’s Son and Savior of the world, to repent of personal sin, to confess Jesus as Lord and to be immersed in baptism.

God’s design for community
The church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
